Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and monitor patient conditions to identify changes in status.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer medications and treatments in accordance with prescribed medical plans and hospital protocols.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documenting patient care, interventions, and outcomes.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs and perform routine diagnostic tests as directed.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and medical equipment.
- Compassion: Strong empathy and a patient-centered approach to care.
