Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ health status by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and reviewing medical histories.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on clinical judgment and patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, including charting and electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license issued by the State of Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred based on specialty.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
