Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care and clinical assessment in accordance with nursing standards and hospital protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and patient safety.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to changes in condition, escalating issues as necessary.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and electronic health documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all regulatory compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
