Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including updating medical history and insurance information.
- Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) accurately and efficiently.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to strict hygiene protocols.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Coordinate laboratory tests and facilitate the timely return of results to the medical team.
- Manage front-desk duties, such as scheduling appointments and answering patient inquiries.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a physician's office or clinic setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- CPR and BLS certification is mandatory.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict attention to detail.
