Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across diverse units including medical-surgical, telemetry, and step-down units
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document electronic health records with precision
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge protocols
- Adhere to NY State nursing regulations, JCAHO standards, and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in shift handovers and rapid response team activations as needed
- Maintain accurate medication administration records and incident documentation
Qualifications
- Valid New York State RN license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN)
- CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Basic computer proficiency with electronic health record systems
