Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication adherence, and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and clinical notes.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist in code situations as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (Med-Surg or Critical Care preferred).
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
