Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare team members.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and home care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications:
- Current and valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
