Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Vital Signs: Regularly assess and record patient health data, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Administer Medications: Prepare and administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and state regulations.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about disease processes, post-procedure care, and preventive health measures.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in stabilizing critical patients.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and logs.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New York State Department of Education.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to operate electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical equipment.
