Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, promptly reporting any changes to the charge nurse or physician.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, medication management, and post-discharge care.
- Document all patient care activities, assessments, and interventions accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions and continuity of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, safe, and sterile environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nebraska.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred (Med-Surg or Telemetry background a plus).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
