Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments according to strict medical protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient history, symptoms, and response to treatment accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnosis and care plans.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to strict infection control standards.
- Respond to emergencies and critical situations with composure and rapid decision-making skills.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, though new graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
