Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the wider healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation in the EMR system.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
- Respond promptly to emergent situations and critical care needs within the department.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professional boundaries and exhibit the highest level of patient advocacy.
