Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care across multiple specialties including ER, ICU, and Med-Surg units
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while maintaining accurate documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergency situations with rapid clinical interventions
- Educate patients and families on health management protocols and discharge planning
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and HIPAA regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital committees
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kansas (or compact state license)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in hospital setting
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Electronic Health Records (EHR) proficiency
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
