Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting utilizing evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Administer medications, perform complex assessments, and interpret diagnostic data
- Provide family-centered education and emotional support during critical care scenarios
- Maintain accurate electronic medical documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
- Participate in rapid response teams and code blue emergencies
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Florida RN license (or compact state with quick endorsement)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 5+ years ICU experience considered)
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience in Level I trauma center
- Strong proficiency in Epic EMR and critical care monitoring systems
- Demonstrated expertise in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
