Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols, ensuring safety and accuracy.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, promptly reporting any changes or complications to the healthcare team.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication regimens, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff, adhering to all infection control and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN License in the State of Illinois (IL RN License).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical record systems.
