Responsibilities
- Assess & Monitor: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure immediate intervention when necessary.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborative Care: Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the wider healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including patient history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide high-quality critical care support.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease management, discharge instructions, and health promotion strategies.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New Mexico Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred for urgent roles.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is highly desirable.
