Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, medications administered, and clinical notes in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and critical care needs, demonstrating strong clinical judgment and composure.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes or deviations from the standard of care immediately.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in North Carolina (NC).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred (New Grads eligible for our trainee programs).
- Skills: Proficient in electronic health record systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.) and strong computer literacy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
