Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing evaluations of patient health status to formulate individualized care plans.
- Medication & Treatment Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and therapies while strictly adhering to hospital protocols and safety guidelines.
- Collaborative Care: Partner effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient treatment.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients for changes in condition and respond immediately to medical emergencies or acute symptoms.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely electronic health records (EHR) reflecting patient care and outcomes.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication compliance, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (or Indiana) required.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
