Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and monitor patient progress.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and according to hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
- Provide direct patient care, including wound care, IV therapy, and patient education.
- Document patient care services, including medical history, assessments, and interventions.
- Respond to emergencies and provide critical care support as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting (Travel nursing experience preferred).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to lift and transfer patients and stand for extended periods.
