Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by interviewing patients, performing physical exams, and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Monitor and record patient symptoms, reactions, and progress.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and home care instructions.
- Respond to medical emergencies and critical situations with rapid assessment and intervention.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred based on specialty.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
