Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and medication administration regulations.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and promptly recognize any changes in status, escalating critical issues to the appropriate medical staff immediately.
- Provide comprehensive patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems, adhering to regulatory compliance standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental rounds to continuously enhance clinical outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Washington.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex medical information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
