Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and accurately document medical histories and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and intervene immediately in case of medical emergencies or complications.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding health conditions and discharge instructions.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and ensure the confidentiality of all patient data.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other staff to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Tennessee.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates with a nursing internship are encouraged to apply.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients as required by clinical duties.
