Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs by conducting physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and home care instructions.
- Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and reports any changes in condition immediately.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (Med-Surg or Critical Care preferred).
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations with composure.
