Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and hospital policies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including patient histories, treatment plans, and progress notes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations, demonstrating calmness and proficiency under pressure.
- Health Education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Kansas.
- Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required; PALS preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift patients (up to 50 lbs), and perform physical examinations.
