Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to therapies, promptly alerting providers to any changes.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic, patient-centered care.
- Document patient care activities, assessments, and outcomes accurately and timely.
- Respond to emergency situations with calmness and clinical proficiency.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and discharge instructions.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
