Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vitals and conditions closely, documenting all findings accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, recovery processes, and preventative health measures.
- Respond promptly to emergent situations, demonstrating critical thinking and rapid response skills.
- Maintain strict adherence to all hospital policies, safety regulations, and HIPAA compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia or Virginia.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Physical stamina required to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed.
