Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, identifying changes that require immediate intervention.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care provided accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient outcomes.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and code blue situations.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license to practice in the District of Columbia or Virginia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
