Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications as prescribed.
- Assess patient conditions and document all findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Respond to medical emergencies and critical situations with speed and precision.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, post-discharge care, and disease prevention.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing unit environment.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Mexico.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred (Med-Surg or ICU experience is a plus).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
