Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, charts, and medical histories.
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, and post-care instructions.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting (preferred).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
