Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities immediately.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, post-care management, and health maintenance.
- Document all patient care activities, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic health records.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and critical care needs with composure.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the State of Michigan.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care standards.
