Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments of patient health and develop individualized care plans.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with established protocols and patient safety standards.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient treatment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records and electronic health documentation.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Health Education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Education: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Texas. BSN preferred for new graduates.
- Experience: No experience required; New graduates and recent nursing school graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
