Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs and develop appropriate nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with daily living activities and personal hygiene.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and responses accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, medications, and discharge instructions.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois (or willingness to relocate to Pennsylvania).
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications are preferred; training available for qualified candidates.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Willingness to perform physical duties including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
