Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic procedures as prescribed by licensed physicians and providers.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and progress; immediately report any significant changes to the nursing supervisor or physician.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and self-care strategies to promote recovery and health literacy.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, therapists, and social workers.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to think critically and make sound decisions in high-pressure, fast-paced clinical settings.
