Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to interventions, escalating concerns immediately to the charge nurse or provider.
- Document patient care accurately and in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic and efficient patient care.
- Provide patient and family education to promote health literacy and self-management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based activities.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
