Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing comprehensive physical exams and accurate documentation of medical history and symptoms.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other staff to ensure holistic patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain strict compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN License in the state of Tennessee.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, and bending for extended periods.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
