Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate care to patients, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, safely transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, or chairs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary plans and nutritional guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment to prevent infections and ensure patient comfort.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, patients, and families regarding patient conditions and care plans.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered state licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Proof of current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or a hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric attitude.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist with lifting (up to 50 lbs).
