Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake, including vitals, weight, and height measurements, and ensure accurate charting in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Perform venipuncture, EKGs, and other basic clinical procedures as required by patient needs.
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures, maintaining a sterile environment.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and state regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to explain procedures and provide education.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment, adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a night shift or urgent care environment.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with electronic health record systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.
