Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to established nursing protocols and physician orders.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and respond immediately to any changes or emergencies.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care and disease prevention strategies.
- Maintain accurate, detailed medical records and documentation.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wisconsin.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred for high-acuity units.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
