Responsibilities
- Provide Patient Care: Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients of all ages, monitoring their conditions and responding to changes in health status immediately.
- Administer Medications: Accurately prepare and administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Assessment & Documentation: Conduct thorough patient assessments and maintain detailed, accurate electronic health records (EHR) regarding patient progress and care plans.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication side effects, and post-discharge care instructions to ensure continuity of care.
- Emergency Response: Respond effectively to medical emergencies and critical situations, utilizing advanced life support techniques as required.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota (or willingness to obtain one).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred depending on unit.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred; new graduates with a strong clinical rotation background are also encouraged to apply.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in electronic medical records (EHR) and computer applications.
- Compassion: Strong commitment to patient advocacy, empathy, and professional integrity.
