Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and monitor patient health status using the nursing process (Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation).
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond to patient emergencies and critical situations with calmness and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Louisiana.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (ADN or BSN) is required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory; ACLS preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Willingness to participate in continuing education and professional development.
