Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in medical-surgical units with 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance, infection control protocols, and JCAHO standards
- Participate in rapid response team activations and emergency care situations
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
Qualifications
- Active or pending Virginia RN license (graduates eligible to apply)
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from accredited program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays
- Pass background check and pre-employment health screening
