Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care including assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Develop and maintain individualized patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Document patient observations, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques
- Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient status per hospital protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety committees
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN required)
- Current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or eligibility to obtain immediately
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (or obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and professional development
- No prior nursing experience required; training provided
