Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and respond swiftly to any changes in a patient's clinical condition.
- Provide compassionate patient and family education regarding diagnoses and post-discare instructions.
- Collaborate seamlessly with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Ensure a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Louisiana.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
