Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patients are clean, comfortable, and well-groomed, and assist with mobility and transferring patients safely from bed to chair.
- Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with patients, families, and the nursing staff to report changes in patient condition or concerns immediately.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain patient care logs and records in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Meal Assistance: Assist patients with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient needs and assist in emergency situations according to training.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not always required for exceptional candidates.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for helping others and a strong commitment to patient care.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift, bend, and move patients safely.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Integrity: Professionalism, reliability, and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
