Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments to patients in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, reporting any significant changes immediately to the charge nurse or provider.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document all care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families during the night shift.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infections and accidents.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed throughout the shift.
