Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute/critical care settings
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient vital signs and document electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Respond to emergency situations with critical thinking
- Maintain infection control and safety protocols
- Precept new nurses and mentor clinical staff
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX)
- BSN preferred; ADN with experience considered
- 1+ years acute care experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient acuity
- Electronic health record proficiency (EPIC preferred)
