Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across various units including ICU, Med-Surg, and Emergency Department
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism and critical thinking
- Mentor junior staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, JCAHO, and facility-specific protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas (TX RN)
- BSN degree preferred; ADN with relevant experience considered
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong assessment skills and ability to work independently
- Experience with Epic or similar EHR systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in fast-paced environments
