Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population during weekend shifts, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive medical records and patient charts.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurse managers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Emergency Response: Quickly respond to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Support: Educate patients and families on care plans, health maintenance, and disease prevention.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred; weekend shift experience is a plus.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and time management skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
