Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and hospital policies.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status continuously, intervening promptly to address any changes.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians and therapists, to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide clear, empathetic education and support to patients and their families regarding their care plans.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions in the electronic health record (EHR) in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes to ensure seamless patient flow.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care or hospital nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cohesive night shift team.
