Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across diverse medical units during overnight shifts
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions with precision
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor and document patient vitals, symptoms, and treatment responses accurately
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital protocols
- Lead rapid response initiatives during critical patient situations
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous quality improvement
Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license (required)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience
- Proven expertise in night shift protocols and emergency response
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong documentation skills and EMR proficiency (Epic preferred)
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced overnight environments
