Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans during night hours
- Administer medications and treatments with precise documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams during emergency response situations
- Monitor telemetry and critical care patients using advanced monitoring systems
- Lead rapid response team activations for acute patient deterioration
- Mentor new nursing staff through our structured orientation program
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives focused on night-shift outcomes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree required (ADN candidates with 2+ years ICU experience considered)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications mandatory
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- Proven expertise in managing high-acuity nocturnal patient cases
- Strong proficiency with Epic EMR and telehealth monitoring platforms
- Demonstrated crisis intervention and rapid response leadership
- Ability to maintain composure during high-pressure night-shift emergencies
